A lot of Mozilla developers and volunteers these days are using checkin-needed keyword to find a checkin-buddy that can help them pushing their amazing stuff on mozilla-central (or other release branches), and maybe you're among them.
This is really cool and everybody is more than happy to help you completing your work, because we all benefit from it. But, there is something you can do to help people pushing your patch.

Recently we have made some refactoring to Places source files in Minefield, the final scope is to have a smaller browser-only part and share more code in Toolkit for various Places implementers. Some of these changes are relevant for Add-on authors, thus i will try to drive you through them.
Note: this does not cover all of recent changes, just the more "breaking" ones.

A better expiration component is now part of Places module
Last week, on Friday, i've pushed the last pieces of the new Places Expiration component. This was one of the Firefox Projects intended for 1.9.3 branch, you can find more background on the start of this project in its wiki page.
